Ryanair launches London winter 19 schedule; announces new route to Milan from Bristol

At Luton, Ryanair will operate a new route to Krakow (four services per week), with 21 routes in total; at Southend the airline will operate one new route to Venice Treviso (also four services per week), with 11 routes and at Gatwick, the airline will operate four routes in total. Thomas Cook taps banks for airline unit sale - report

February 18 (SeeNews) - UK-based global travel company Thomas Cook Group Plc (LON:TCG) has hired banks to help it explore the potential sale of its airline unit, Reuters reported Friday, about a week after the travel company launched a strategic review of the business.Thomas Cook has mandated Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America Merrill Lynch for the possible sale of the business that could reach an enterprise value of GBP 500 million (EUR 570m/USD 646m) to GBP 600 million, a banker has told the news agency.Lufthansa, Ryanair and Easyjet are reportedly interested in parts of the unit, according to the same source.Ryanair's chief marketing officer, Kenny Jacobs, has told the Financial Times that the Irish airline would be interested in buying some airport slots from Thomas Cook's airline business if no one bids for the whole unit, a Thursday report revealed.The airline unit encompasses German Condor as well as units in the UK, Spain and the Scandinavian region. It reported earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of GBP 129 million in the financial year ending September 30, 2018. .....
